Food was hot and good sized portions. Got there too late for breakfast which is what we wanted, but didn't know until we were in the cafeteria style line that breakfast was over for about 20 minutes. Sautéed cabbage was good, husband liked the stewed tomatoes and okra and mashed potatoes. Country fried steak was very thin and crust was soggy from sitting in pans of gravy that was flour-y tasting, not completely cooked (the gravy, not the meat) and could have used some sausage flavor and pepper. 5. Sweet tea was very good. Cost came to $8 per person, 1 protein, two sides, and a drink, plus 2 side salads.
Eat there all the time. But today the food was barley warm. Very disappointed

The Best Food for a reasonable price. Generous servings of home cooked meats, vegtables, and desserts. This is a cafeteria style restaurant that offers five or so choices of entrees daily. The food is fabulous and the staff is courteous as well. It is very popular among the locals from surrounding counties. They are busy from open to close and that should speak for itself. However, I would suggest trying it out and I guarntee you, it will be a favorite eating place you will want to visit again and again.
My First visit.... And I will return... The food was absolutely delicious..service was prompt and friendly... The tea was the best I've had in years. They serve breakfast and lunch....it is cafeteria style and they only accept cash. They close at 3PM and are closed on Sundays. Last but not least.. You will not leave hungry...
